This community is so fortunate to have the Popsapalooza concert series playing right here at the fairgrounds!
Last night’s piano and harp presentation by mother/daughter virtuosos Nataly Roznitovsky and Marina Roznitovsky-Oster wowed the audience with a variety of both classical pieces and popular show tunes.
Marina, who teaches harp in Reno at UNR, in addition to being principal harpist with the Reno Philharmonic, took the time to provide those in attendance with interesting tidbits on the composers of the pieces they played, plus gave us something of a “harp tour,” explaining the harp’s long history over time and how today’s harps are constructed. It was truly fascinating.
Many thanks to Fair Manager John Steffanic and Plumas County’s own Jane Brown for bringing such high-level musicians to our rural area. If you get a chance to attend future Popsapalooza events, don’t hesitate for even a split second. You’ll be rewarded many times over.
